The Hall committee is working hard on plans to revamp and improve facilities at the hall – especially the kitchen and the toilets.
In consultation with a pro bono local architect and a builder we have an outline of a new layout for part of the hall to accommodate a completely new set of male and female toilets, including a much needed disabled toilet. We also plan to install a bigger and better equipped new kitchen. The Hall has raised some funds for this work through community events and has ambitious plans to develop the Hall further as a community resource. These include coffee mornings and a lunch club for the elderly, a WI and a mother and toddler group.
We obviously need additional funding to undertake this work and have applied to the Aviva Community fund for this. This is open to projects all over the country and communities and individuals have to vote for the projects that they want to win funding – so we need as many people as possible to vote for us to stand a chance of winning.
